About Our Travel Team |

The Model United Nations Travel Team is UCI MUN’s competitive debate team, which travels to domestic conferences and international conferences during the academic year. While previous MUN experience may be helpful, it is not required to join! Travel Team members attend weekly meetings to grow their knowledge of parliamentary procedure, sharpen their debate skills, and discuss global affairs. The Travel Team experience gives students the chance to gain well-rounded knowledge of global affairs through academic debates dedicated to finding solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. At MUN conferences, these debates take the form of simulations of actual United Nations committees with both present and historical topics to discuss, similarly to how the real United Nations develops concrete and decisive solutions for improving international security, relations, and diplomacy. This unit has become a renowned and highly accomplished part of MUN, winning various Best Delegate, Outstanding, and Honorable Mentions at conferences such as Harvard World MUN, TrojanMUN, Seattle NWMUN, and many more! They attend competitive conferences across the country, from Long Beach to Washington DC.

Hello and thanks for stopping by! We are your Travel Team Board for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Each and every one of us has different responsibilities, but they generally include: Conference registration, accommodations procurement, team training, health/safety/general welfare of the team, and many more things that go into making our side of UCIMUN run as smoothly as possible. We are all very grateful to be able to serve as your board this year, and we hope that you are able to come along and travel with us! Between all 6 of us, we have about 25 years of MUN experience combined, so not to worry, you are in very good hands. If you’d like to meet any of us, please feel free to stop by during one of our weekly meetings. We love to meet new people and recruit for both our Conference and Travel teams!

This year, our team has traveled all over from UCSD to UC Berkeley, and we have all had the ability to bond, learn, and grow together. Our team size has been steadily increasing, and it is simply our sign to do better by all of you. It has been wonderful to see the impact we have on all our delegates as they build skills we hope they’ll use from school, friends/family life, their careers, and beyond. Similarly to the conference team, it is up to us to undertake the task of presenting these niche issues for each and every new conference we get to go to and show them the small areas of the world we must be talking about.
